In Little Miss Sunshine Olive, the little girl is entered into the little miss sunshine beauty pageant. Her parents at first say they cannot go but then decide to drive there. On the way there their van stalls and they are set back a little. They figure something out and keep going. They stop at a Hotel and while they are there  the granddad dies in his sleep. Set back even more they still make it there but they just miss it by a few minutes. She still competes thanks to an man who take time to check her in.

The Kings Speech is about a man who suffers from a stuttering condition. His family and friends do all they can to help him overcome this hurdle. Having him listen to music while he reads preventing him hearing what he is saying is one way they help. Another way is they have him instead of reading in front of an audience. In this movie a young robbed a lady, stole her baby and paralyzed her for life. He feels terible after he does relizing what he has done. He takes it apon himself to take care of this baby but he cannot. So he guns down a young lady with her baby and makes her feed it. She takes care of the baby foe a little while. Then he comes back and decides to take back the baby.

The Kite Runner

Amir tells us about the unique relationship he has with Hassan, a Hazara boy who is the victim of

discrimination, but he is the half-brother of Amir, a Pashtun. Amir is overwhelmed with guilt when he

allows Hassan to be beaten and raped on the day Amir wins the kite flying tournament. He lies to have Hassan

accused of theft so he will leave their home and Amir can try to forget his guilt. Eventually, Amir and his father

flee Afghanistan after the Russians invade and Amir takes his tragic memories to America to start a new life.

Seven years later he decides to coach a women's field hockey team to maybe try to convince the people of India that he is not a traitor.

The Host

The host is a horrific comical, in this film a poisonous chemical is released into the Han river. Causing a mutation. The monster goes around capturing people and eventually eating them. A little girl is taken by this creature and put in a sewer where the rest of the bodies are. Her and this other little boy trapped in the sewer hide out from the creature to avoid being ate. Eventually the monster is killed but the little boy survives.

Maria Full Of Grace

Maria is a seventeen year old girl from Columbia, where she works in a flower shop. Her family is short on money and she has no way to hold up her end of their expenses. She meets this guy at a party who offers her a job smuggling drugs into the states. She accepts, only because she needs the money. But she is pregnant so she wouldn't be able to do the job. She lies and says she is eighteen and no health issues.

This movie is about two young afghan men wanting to sing on the big stage. Rafi, and Hameed the two young men in the movie, their goal is to become the nations best singer. This is also a chance for other people to showcase there talents.

Please vote for me takes place in China at an elementary school. There are are three kids running to be there class monitor. Two boys and a girl. They took shots at each other trying to help themselves win by messing with each other while the other was giving a speech or doing a performance. The kids parents do whatever they can to help their child, because doing well is very important to the chinese, only because they are only aloud one child every family. In the end once the voting is over, the other two kids are very upset because they did not win. But the results are not what is important. What is important is the experience. 

Mongolian ping pong

In the movie Mongolian Ping Pong a young boy discovers a ping pong ball floating down the river while getting water for his family. At first he thinks it is a glowing pearl, and that it came from the spirits. He shows everyone what he has found and they all think it a pearl too or they don't know what it is. Except for his grandmother, who tells him it is a gift from the heavens and that the individual who finds it will have good fortune. When he finds out it is ping pong ball and that it is a national ball, he tries to figure out what ping pong is. In the end he walks into a room full of ping pong players.

The Weeping Camel

The story the weeping camel is about a mom camel who's baby calf she wants nothing to do with. Their owner try to have the mom feed the baby but she will not. So what they did was the came up with a way to take milk from the mom to give to the baby camel. The family in the movie in very religious. The whole point in this movie is to get the camel reunited with its baby calf. To do so the two kids go to find a musician.
